Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro known as Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese footballer. Ronaldo plays as a winger or striker for Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid. He is also the captain of the Portuguese national team. Moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid made Ronaldo the most expensive player in soccer. He was worth £80 million (€94m, US$132m). Before moving to Nacional, Ronaldo began his career playing for Andorinha. When he was 18, he was signed by Alex Ferguson, the manager of Manchester United for £12.24 million in 2003.


Ronaldo's incredible talent began when he was 18. He caught the attention of Manchester United's manager, Alex Ferguson. In 2007, Ronaldo was the first player to win all four PFA and FWA. Ronaldo is known as one of the best soccer players in history. He was named the best forward and player of the tournament and was the competition's top goalscorer.
